My wife is a Medical emergency specialist and she is doing her internship in Marvdasht hospital which is approximately 1000 kms from Tehran, where we live. She works extremely long hours and gets to come home for a few days every 6 weeks. Since we are apart 9 months a year we don’t get to see enough of each other which makes me miss her terribly. So i’ve decided to make a day trip to Marvdasht. My loneliness combined with my wife’s fatigue was enough reason to travel.
Going to Marvdasht to overcome my nostalgia was also an opportunity to visit Persepolis. Although the remains are not in the best condition, it’s still a great representation of 2500 years of Persian civilisation.
